I think the months of October through January are my favorite time of year. October is beautiful because it's the prime of fall; November is perfectly cozy + Thanksgiving {my favorite holiday}; December is full of holiday cheer and festive lights; January is all about ringing in the new year and celebrating my birthday {let's be honest that's the real reason that month made the cut}. But getting back to October...I mean just look at the trees behind me -- the perfect golden hour glow. I also love it because it's a great transitional month. A lot of dresses tend to be very seasonal, and once it hits late September to October no one really wants to think about dresses because sweater weather. However, for those milder fall days, I like to extend the life of my summer dresses into my fall wardrobe by pairing it with an ankle boot and a fall jacket. For me it's about mixing something light with something heavy, whether it be texture, color, style, or even all of the above!
